The effects of COVID-19 pandemic are enormous. Starting as a health incident, it now affects every aspect of our daily lives. We all need to reconsider our “daily routine” and of course this cannot disrupt the permanent operation of the Nuclear Medicine departments.
HSNM&MI, since the beginning of the pandemic, has been monitoring the situation, constantly informing its members by posting any related useful information of scientific bodies. For this reason, a separate “COVID corner” has been created on our website (https://nuclear-medicine.gr/covid-19/), while our recommendations and any urgent updates were communicated via informative e-mails. Following the above actions, we are proceeding on Friday, 29/5/2020 to a live-Webinar event, entitled “Nuclear Medicine in the COVID era“. Through speakers’ presentations, we will try to highlight the new data, the requirements and the challenges that it brings to the departments of Nuclear Medicine the day after, focused on cutting-edge topics (Cardiology, Oncology, Treatment). We will also present how Primary Health Care and our extroversion activities as our conferences, workshops, etc. were affected.
